Izanami is getting a lot more attention in Club Jazz scene by releasing their first album in December 2002 and participating in a tribute album of Burt Bacharach right after. The band is five-member body by Kim(Vocal), Shingo(Piano), Keigo(Wood bass), Kaoru(Drum). Izanami is supported by wide-ranged fan by it's emotional jazzy vibe of the bands and the outstanding vocal which inherited legitimate R&B sytle. They became a hot topic by radio appearance and Remix magazine interview. Izanami started from the encounter of vocal Kim and piano Shingo. They started their career with performing at club Room in Shibuya then gradually expand their field to all over Japan. They have worked together with various artists from different genre like Kippei Shiina, soil & "pimp" sessions, LAVA and Mitsu The Beats. As a Japanese band, they keep sending message global with expressing appreciation for the world music that gave them a great influence. Izanami is the one and only band in this chaotic misic scene now a days.
